AllEar Privacy Policy

Published by SR Eternals · support@sreternals.com

The short version

AllEar records audio on your device and keeps it on your device. We don't collect your personal data, we don't have user accounts, we don't run analytics or ads, and we don't include any third-party SDK that sends your data anywhere. There is nothing to opt out of, because there is nothing being collected.

Who we are

AllEar is developed by SR Eternals. This policy explains how the AllEar Android app handles information. If anything here is unclear, email support@sreternals.com.

What we collect

Nothing. AllEar has no backend server and no account system. The app does not transmit your recordings, your usage, your device identifiers, or any other personal data to us or to any third party. There is no analytics SDK and no advertising SDK in the app — we can't see how you use AllEar, because we never receive that information.

All processing — recording, waveform generation, transcription, search, AI chat, translation, tagging, trimming, playback — happens entirely on your device.

Microphone use

AllEar requests microphone access (RECORD_AUDIO) solely to record audio when you start a recording — by tapping record in the app, using a home-screen widget, the Quick Settings tile, or Android's system "record sound" action. The microphone is never accessed in the background or without an active, user-initiated recording session.

While a recording is active, AllEar runs a foreground service with a visible notification (and, on supported devices, a Live Update / Now Bar status chip) so you always know recording is in progress. This is also what keeps your recording safe if the app is backgrounded or the system comes under memory pressure.

On-device AI & model downloads

AllEar's AI features — transcription, speaker labels, meaning-based search, ask-your-recording chat, and translation — run entirely on your device. Your recordings, the text transcribed from them, and any questions you ask are processed locally and are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.

These features rely on AI model files. To keep the app small, those models are not bundled; the app downloads them from our content delivery network only when you choose to enable a feature. This download is the app's only use of the network (INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permissions). It is a one-way fetch of static model files and carries no personal data: no recording, no transcript, no search query, no account, and no device identifier is sent — only an app-level access key and the name of the model being fetched. You can delete downloaded models at any time from within the app.

Storage & backup

Recordings are stored in the app's local storage on your device by default. If you choose to enable backup, AllEar writes copies only to a folder you select on your own device or storage (via Android's Storage Access Framework) — never to a server we operate, because we don't operate one.

You can delete any recording at any time from within the app (including from Trash), or remove all app data by clearing AllEar's storage or uninstalling the app from Android Settings.

Sharing

Your recordings leave your device only when you choose to share or export them — for example, through the Android share sheet to another app of your choosing. AllEar itself never uploads, syncs, or transmits your recordings anywhere.

Children's privacy

AllEar does not collect personal data from anyone, including children. Because no data collection occurs, there is no personal information from children for us to gather, store, or process — consistent with COPPA and similar children's privacy requirements.

This website

This policy covers the AllEar app. Our marketing website (allear.sreternals.com) uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that count aggregate page views and referrers only — no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no advertising, and nothing that identifies you personally. The app itself contains no analytics of any kind.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, note the change in the app's release notes. Continuing to use AllEar after an update means you accept the revised policy.
